The Stabby Sweater was overlooked when it first dropped years ago—just one unit sold online. But the moment we started selling it in person, everything changed. It became an instant success, selling out five times before we could even build a proper online campaign. For full transparency, we’ve delayed this release more times than we can count, simply because we haven’t been able to keep it in stock.
Across those restocks, we didn’t just refill inventory—we refined the garment. First, we doubled the fabric weight for a richer, more structured hand feel. Then we added pre-frayed edges, a subtle nod to our University Cardigans. The fit was re-engineered to hang boxier, draping slightly off the shoulder with purpose. And finally, we reworked the interior labeling, marking this release with special edition trims to signify a new era for Chamberlin New York.
